It\u2019s Tyrod Taylor time once again, this time as a member of the New York Jets<\/a>. On Wednesday, head coach Aaron Glenn announced that Taylor would be taking over the starting duties under center, replacing Justin Fields.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At 2-8 a change was desperately needed. Luckily for them, Taylor is as reliable a backup quarterback as they come. The veteran is now entering his 15th season in the NFL. He\u2019s suited up for the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, Buffalo Bills<\/a>, Cleveland Browns<\/a>, Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>, Houston Texans<\/a>, New York Giants<\/a>, and now the Jets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After earning the starting gig, Taylor<\/a> spoke with reporters about what it means to him that he has lasted as long as he has in the NFL.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember when I got drafted, there were some people that wanted to put me at wide receiver,\u201d Taylor said. \u201cI fought the notion down and I stood firm that I was a quarterback. That was what I had played my whole life. I just knew that if given the opportunity, I could show that. 15 years later, I’m still proving it and I welcome those challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor will have his first taste of starting for the Jets this week against the Baltimore Ravens. With their season essentially over with, the hope is that Taylor can at least provide Jets fans with some quality football as the season winds down.\u00a0<\/p>\n
