Everybody makes mistakes\u2014but when you\u2019re constantly under the scrutiny of the public eye, it can be hard to navigate those speed bumps. What has Duchess Meghan<\/a> learned from those imperfect moments? \u201cYou learn not to do it again,\u201d she tells <\/a>Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/a> for our December 2025\/January 2026 cover story.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex goes on to clarify, adding: \u201cIf it all goes swimmingly, you don\u2019t learn from it. If you don\u2019t learn anything, you\u2019re not going to grow.\u201d

With the launch of her recent lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan<\/a>, the duchess might come across like the picture of perfect California cool. She moves around a serene Montecito, California, farm house, making homemade jams and putting together crafts for her kids, all while sporting quiet-luxury staples<\/a> that sell out the minute viewers catch wind of the labels. But for Meghan, it\u2019s never about maintaining an air of perfection.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s also not a lot of fun in trying to be perfect,\u201d she tells Bazaar. \u201cI don\u2019t like things that feel overly realized. If you overwork the dough, it\u2019s not going to rise. And sometimes I think the stress that people put on moments\u2026 they are so consumed in them that you lose the fun of why you are doing something.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Meghan, it all comes down to being able to drown out the noise. She says: \u201cI think the moment that you start making all of your personal decisions based on external judgment, then you lose your authenticity.\u201d<\/p>\n
