\n\tNoah was on set in Greece when he got a call from his mom. \u201cShe was like, \u2018Crazy question, but how would you feel about playing Hamlet?\u2019 \u201d Zhao was on the line too, visibly excited by the possibility. The idea of Noah playing Hamlet \u2014 opposite Jacobi\u2019s Hamnet \u2014 brought an unexpected emotional symmetry to the film.<\/p>\n
\n\tUnbeknownst to everyone, Jacobi was listening in on the call through the wall of a production tent. Says Noah, \u201cJacobi is too good at finding stuff out.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tBoth brothers have been singled out by critics for their performances in the film, Jacobi for his scene-stealing death performance and Noah for his cathartic reading of Shakespeare\u2019s most famous soliloquies (\u201cTo be or not to be \u2026\u201d). And both Jupes describe sharing the screen as a \u201csurreal\u201d experience.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cWhen you\u2019re watching yourself, you judge yourself a lot,\u201d Noah explains. \u201cBut with my brother, I know every bit of his face, I know every emotion he\u2019s ever had, and yet there is no judgment.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tAs for what\u2019s next: Noah has A24\u2019s The Death of Robin Hood and the new season of The Night Manager. Jacobi has the adaptation of the horror thriller Victorian Psycho \u2014 and then, he petitions, \u201cI would really love to do a comedy, please.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tFor now, the brothers are just enjoying the novelty of finally sharing a frame.<\/p>\n
