There\u2019ll be a break in there, but we\u2019re going to do whatever we can to not have a huge gap,\u201d Bloys told reporters during a press conference. \u201cFor the kids, obviously, but also for viewers. You know, trying to not have massive gaps. It is a big show, lots of special effects, obviously, massive operation, but we\u2019re going to do what we can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHBO has already indicated that the plan is for each season of the show to span one of J.K. Rowling\u2019s novels, which would mean seven seasons in total. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFilming has been ongoing for months on the\u00a0first season, which went into production over the summer and will star\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/dominic-mclaughlin\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dominic McLaughlin<\/a>\u00a0as the titular Hogwarts wizard. Alastair Stout will play Harry\u2019s best friend Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton will round out the trio of heroes as bookworm Hermione Granger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOther cast includes Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore and Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/francesca-gardiner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gardiner<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/mark-mylod\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mark Mylod<\/a>\u00a0write and direct, respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDeadline exclusively reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/11\/jk-rowling-visit-harry-potter-set-hbo-1236623560\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rowling made her first visit to the UK set <\/a>this week to inspect the progress on the adaptation of her beloved fantasy franchise, which has been filming at Warner Bros.
