Ariana Grande<\/a> revealed a major health diagnosis amid the Wicked: For Good<\/a> premiere\u2014and prayers poured in for the Glinda actress after testing positive for COVID-19<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Nov. 20, the same day the highly anticipated sequel officially hit theaters, Grande, 32, revealed her diagnosis via her Instagram<\/a> Stories.<\/p>\n

“Moments before Covid,” the actress captioned the update, which featured a still image of herself during her Nov. 18 appearance on The Tonight Show With\u00a0Jimmy Fallon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Grande’s COVID-19 news came on the heels of her co-star, Cynthia Erivo<\/a>, 38, losing her voice and therefore skipping Interviews at\u00a0Wicked: For Good’s New York City Premiere on Nov. 17. The former Victorious<\/a> star also passed on interviews in solidarity with the actress behind Elphaba.<\/p>\n

In the wake of her sickness, Grande reportedly canceled her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/a> at the last minute. She was slated as a guest on Thursday’s show, which Erivo is now set to do solo, per Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As news of Grande’s COVID-19 diagnosis spread, folks on social media flooded her with prayers and well-wishes.<\/p>\n

One X<\/a> user lamented, “2025 still speedrunning plot twists we didn\u2019t ask for \ud83d\ude2d.”<\/p>\n

Another shared, “Wishing her a quick recovery,” as a third X user echoed, “Pray for my queen.”<\/p>\n

Someone else pointed out, “She really said, ‘Even sick I\u2019m still THAT girl’ \ud83d\ude2d\ud83d\udc93. Wishing her the speediest, coziest recovery\u2014wrap her in bubble wrap immediately!”<\/p>\n

A different X user commented, “Praying for her quick recovery \ud83d\ude4f.”<\/p>\n

Yet another fan on X wrote, “I hope her immune system can fight COVID as she’s not looking healthy or well for a long time. #ArianaGrande<\/a>#COVID<\/a><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a different fan joked, “Watch Cynthia get COVID too just out of solidarity \ud83d\ude2d\ud83e\udd79.”<\/p>\n

Wicked: For Good officially flies into theaters on Nov. 22, 2025, with select showings starting today.<\/p>\n
