New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has been ruled out<\/a> for their Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions.<\/p>\n

Interim head coach Mike Kafka cited Dart’s lack of progression through concussion protocol as the reason he will miss this week, not the organization being extra cautious.<\/p>\n

Dart was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday and but has yet to be cleared from protocol.<\/p>\n

The rookie quarterback missed last week’s loss<\/a> to the Green Bay Packers after suffering a concussion in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears.<\/p>\n

After taking a number of hits in his first NFL season and needing four concussion evaluations, the Ole Miss product has reportedly<\/a> been told by people inside and outside the organization to be more careful when running with the ball and to better protect himself.<\/p>\n

Dart has had an impressive start to his NFL career with the Giants. Through nine games, he has 1,417 passing yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. He has also been productive on the ground, picking up 317 rushing yards and seven touchdowns \u2014 both are tops among rookies.<\/p>\n

A Joe Burrow return this week? Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor indicated on Friday that they will wait long as possible before deciding if the quarterback will play Sunday against the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n

“Feel comfortable waiting as long as we can with this decision,” Taylor said, via The Athletic’s Paul Dehner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Burrow, who had surgery on his toe on Sept. 19<\/a>, is still on injured reserve and the team has until 4 p.m. on Saturday to move him to the active roster.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s done everything he can. He looks great,” Taylor said. “You expect it to respond great when he\u2019s out there and gets tackled, but you don\u2019t know \u2026 and two games in five days, you have to account for that.”<\/p>\n

Burrow has been listed as “questionable.”<\/p>\n

Aaron Rodgers is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bears as he deals with a fractured left wrist. A day after head coach Mike Tomlin said that Rodgers would not need surgery<\/a>, the veteran wore a brace as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice.<\/p>\n

Bucky Irving has not played since Week 4, but is “trending up,” according to Tampa head coach Todd Bowles. The running back has been out with foot and shoulder injuries, but did return to practice. Bowles said that Irving “didn’t handle” being hurt for the first time in his NFL well and are eyeing Week 13 against the Cardinals as a potential return date.<\/p>\n

Josh Jacobs says if he missed any time, it will not be more than one game. The Green Bay Packers running back suffered a knee injury during last week’s win<\/a> over the Giants and was back at practice on Thursday in a limited fashion after sitting out Wednesday. He’s been dealing with swelling and stiffness in the knee.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is “questionable” to play Sunday against the Chicago Bears, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.<\/p>\n

“We’ll see where the weekend leads us,” Tomlin said, via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rodgers fractured his left wrist<\/a> late in the second quarter of a win over the Cincinnati Bengals last week. It’s an injury to his non-throwing hand, and he doesn’t need surgery for it, per Tomlin.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old signal-caller didn’t practice Wednesday. He was limited Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n

If he can’t go against the Bears, backup Mason Rudolph will be in line to start.<\/p>\n

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson and wide receiver Kayshon Boutte have been cleared and are expected to play in Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters.<\/p>\n

Stevenson has missed the last three games with a toe injury. He suffered the injury in Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns. He has 83 carries for 279 yards and three touchdowns this season.<\/p>\n

In his absence, rookie back TreVeyon Henderson has had an increased workload. Henderson had a breakout performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he had 14 carries for 147 yards and two touchdowns. He has 100 carries for 492 yards and five touchdowns this season, leading the Patriots in all three rushing categories.<\/p>\n

Boutte has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons. Before the injury, Boutte was on pace for his best season. He has 23 catches for 431 yards and has the most receiving touchdowns on the team with five. Wide receivers Stefon Diggs, Mack Hollins, Demario Douglas and tight end Hunter Henry have stepped up in his absence.<\/p>\n

Despite Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel (concussion) returning to practice on Friday, he has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN Browns reporter Daniel Oyefusi.<\/a><\/p>\n

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Gabriel has not fully cleared concussion protocol. Gabriel went down in last week\u2019s game against the Baltimore Ravens. The rookie quarterback has thrown for 937 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions since taking over for former Browns quarterback Joe Flacco in Week 5.<\/p>\n

Shedeur Sanders will make his first career start in Gabriel’s place. Sanders was 4 for 16 for 47 yards and one interception against the Ravens. Bailey Zappe will back up Sanders.<\/p>\n

Offensive tackle Jack Conklin (knee), wide receiver Jamari Thrash (foot) and defensive end Alex Wright (quad) are also questionable. It is reported that Myles Garrett, who is dealing with an illness, and David Njoku (knee) will be good to go.<\/p>\n

The Browns are sitting last in the AFC North at 2-8.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s Stephen Holder reported Friday<\/a> that the Colts re-evaluated the calf complaints Jones made and found that they were related to his fibula. But they’re of no concern now, per Holder.<\/p>\n
