Jake Paul is set to get into the ring with Anthony Joshua<\/a> on December 19th in what is undoubtedly a huge money fight funded by Netflix\u2019s deep pockets. Not getting any of that sweet payday? Francis Ngannou, who refused to even consider fighting Paul because it was beneath him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just an idiot,\u201d Paul told MMA Junkie. \u201cI\u2019m like yo, what are you doing if you\u2019re so confident, if you feel so disrespected? You\u2019re having all this bad publicity about your name over the past year and a half. This is the opportunity to correct that and stop me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, he\u2019s basically also talking shit to Mike Tyson for fighting me,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo Francis, you\u2019re nowhere near the legend, you will never be even close to the legend of Mike Tyson, and you\u2019re saying it\u2019s disrespectful to get in the ring.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen when I go in there and do 10 times, a 100 times better than Francis, we\u2019ll see how he feels then,\u201d Paul said during the press conference. \u201cThe guy\u2019s a joke. He\u2019s a dumbass. He\u2019s stuck in mud. Francis to me is an easy fight as a boxer. So that\u2019s all we need to talk about with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even Anthony Joshua got in on the Francis bashing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Ngannou, he should he should be up here,\u201d Joshua said. \u201cIf he was serious, he wants to fight rather than talk, be about it, don\u2019t talk about it. If you\u2019ve got something to say and you need to prove yourself in boxing, the best way to do it is to let your hands go.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, personally, you didn\u2019t see much talking from me. We come up here and we do the talking in the ring. All that talking on TV channels and stuff about what you shouldn\u2019t do and what you should do. Just keep quiet. If you\u2019re about it, be about it. And that\u2019s why we\u2019re here now.\u201d<\/p>\n

There was a lot of talk about Francis Ngannou fumbling the bag<\/a> after he left the UFC<\/a> and he turned right around and secured the biggest bag<\/a> in a year of any MMA fighter not named Conor McGregor.
