Close<\/a>Jesse joined ESPN Chicago in September 2009 and covers MLB for ESPN.com.<\/p>\n Texas Rangers<\/a> outfielder Adolis Garcia<\/a> and catcher Jonah Heim<\/a> headline the list of 66 MLB arbitration-eligible players who were not tendered contracts by their respective teams Friday.<\/p>\n Those players immediately become free agents, available to sign with any organization, including the ones that just non-tendered them.<\/p>\n Garcia, 32, and Heim, 30, were instrumental in the Rangers’ World Series victory in 2023, but the past couple of seasons haven’t been as productive for them.<\/p>\n Garcia won ALCS MVP in 2023, compiling 1.108 OPS in the postseason that October, but he followed that with back-to-back years with an OPS under .700.<\/p>\n In 2025, he hit just .227 with 19 home runs while making over $9 million in salary. Heim hit .213 last season with 11 home runs and a .602 OPS while earning $4.57 million. Both players were due raises through the arbitration system, but the cost-cutting Rangers declined to offer them contracts.<\/p>\n Among those also non-tendered Friday were: Atlanta Braves<\/a> pitcher Alek Manoah<\/a>; Boston Red Sox<\/a> infielder Nathaniel Lowe<\/a>; Chicago Cubs<\/a> catcher Reese McGuire<\/a>; Cincinnati Reds<\/a> pitcher Carson Spiers<\/a>; Cleveland Guardians<\/a> pitcher Sam Hentges<\/a>; Chicago White Sox<\/a> outfielder Mike Tauchman<\/a>; Detroit Tigers<\/a> reliever Jason Foley<\/a> and infielder Andy Ibanez<\/a>; Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> pitcher Evan Phillips<\/a>; New York Yankees<\/a> pitchers Mark Leiter Jr<\/a>, Scott Effross<\/a> and Ian Hamilton<\/a>; Seattle Mariners<\/a> pitcher Gregory Santos<\/a>; San Francisco Giants<\/a> catcher Andrew Knizner<\/a> and Tampa Bay Rays<\/a> infielder Christopher Morel<\/a>.<\/p>\n All other arbitration-eligible players were tendered contracts, meaning they are tied to their teams for the 2026 season.
