Additional roster maneuvering will be necessary to replace Singleton on the club\u2019s active roster, but it\u2019s not clear what the corresponding transaction will be at this point.<\/p>\n<p>Singleton, 34 in September, was added to the club\u2019s roster last week alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/w\/whitcsh01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.mlbtraderumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-07-28_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Shay Whitcomb<\/a> in the wake of an injury to third baseman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/p\/paredis01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.mlbtraderumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-07-28_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Isaac Paredes<\/a> last week. Singleton ultimately appeared in just three games for the Astros this year, during which he went 1-for-9 with at the plate with one strikeout and no walks. He began the season in the Mets\u2019 minor league system but signed a minor league deal with Houston back in July.
