{"id":304131,"date":"2025-11-24T17:02:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T17:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/304131\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T17:02:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T17:02:09","slug":"vitriol-members-quit-band-leave-co-founder-at-vermont-gas-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/304131\/","title":{"rendered":"Vitriol members quit band, leave co-founder at Vermont gas station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Keith Merrow, the newly announced guitarist for technical death metal band Vitriol, has made a post to his Instagram story explaining that the rest of the band&#8217;s line-up have decided to leave mid-tour, effectively abandoning sole original member Kyle Rasmussen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Merrow alleges that himself, along with Brett Leier (bass), and Andy Vincenzetti (drums), abandoned Rasmussen at a gas station in Vermont due to his &#8220;cowardly and weak outbursts of misplaced anger.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Vitriol have been hit with numerous line-up issues, with Rasmussen being left as the only member for a time. The band has not issued a statement thus far.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Merrow&#8217;s full post:<\/p>\n<p>HE FUCKED AROUND AND FOUND OUT.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;LL BE HOME FOR THANKSGIVING, BABY.<\/p>\n<p>SORRY VITRIOL FANS.
