Filipino striker Jeremy \u201cThe Jaguar\u201d Miado<\/a> will put his newfound momentum to the test against surging Uzbek bruiser Avazbek \u201cNinzya\u201d Kholmirzaev<\/a> in a flyweight MMA clash at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The high-stakes matchup, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok\u2019s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, December 5, will feature two dangerous knockout artists who are determined to make some serious noise in one of the promotion\u2019s most competitive divisions.<\/p>\n

Miado enters ONE Championship\u2019s final U.S. primetime event of the year riding the confidence of a successful flyweight debut.<\/p>\n

After spending the past several years competing in the strawweight ranks, \u201cThe Jaguar\u201d moved up a weight class and secured a unanimous decision victory over Gilbert Nakatani<\/a> at ONE Fight Night 28<\/a> this past February.<\/p>\n

The move up in weight has revitalized the 32-year-old Filipino, who displayed the speed and power that make him one of the Philippines\u2019 most exciting stars.<\/p>\n

Miado\u2019s trademark striking, which has helped him wrap up six victories inside the distance, looked sharper than ever against the Japanese-American throughout their three-round battle.<\/p>\n

With a fighting style built around electrifying knockout power and non-stop aggression, \u201cThe Jaguar\u201d wants to waste no time in reaching the pinnacle of the flyweight division.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old Uzbek responded with three consecutive stoppage victories and then earned the biggest win of his career \u2013 a decisive unanimous decision over former two-time DEEP Flyweight Champion Tatsumitsu \u201cThe Sweeper\u201d Wada<\/a> this past July.<\/p>\n

That impressive performance earned Kholmirzaev a six-figure contract and a spot on the global roster. And he quickly proved once again in his U.S. primetime debut at ONE Fight Night 37<\/a> earlier this month that he belonged.<\/p>\n

Despite absorbing early pressure from previously undefeated South African sensation Willie \u201cWhite Lion\u201d van Rooyen<\/a>, the Uzbek striker capitalized on a scramble and secured the fight-ending armbar at 3:52 of the opening round.<\/p>\n

The victory improved Kholmirzaev\u2019s career record to 14-2 with an astonishing 13 finishes. That\u2019s a 93 percent finishing rate, which instantly makes him one of the flyweight MMA division\u2019s most dangerous young fighters.\u00a0<\/p>\n
