Just as reports emerge Juventus could offer Douglas Luiz as part of the deal for Morten Hjulmand, Portuguese media immediately assure Sporting CP would turn it down.<\/p>\n

It is no secret that the midfielder is a primary transfer target for the Bianconeri, just as Sporting have been adamant they will not accept anything other than his \u20ac80m release clause.<\/p>\n

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggested<\/a> that Juve could try to resolve two problems in one fell swoop by offering outcast Douglas Luiz<\/a> plus cash to lower the cost of the operation.<\/p>\n

However, A Bola immediately responded<\/a> by insisting Sporting would have no intention of accepting a player exchange as part of any transfer.<\/p>\n

They are also well aware that Manchester United are ready to dive in<\/a> with a much higher offer than the one Juventus could afford.<\/p>\n

Hjulmand turned 26 last month and has history in Serie A, playing for Lecce from 2021 to 2023 until his \u20ac19.5m plus bonuses sale to Sporting CP.<\/p>\n
