{"id":305739,"date":"2025-11-25T10:45:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T10:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/305739\/"},"modified":"2025-11-25T10:45:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T10:45:08","slug":"olivia-yace-renounces-miss-universe-title","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/305739\/","title":{"rendered":"Olivia Yac\u00e9 Renounces Miss Universe Title"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Miss Universe 2025 finalist Olivia Yac\u00e9 is sticking to her principles.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why, days after the pageant&#8217;s fourth runner-up was declared Miss Universe Africa and Oceania on Nov. 21, she renounced the title.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As the representative of C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire at the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Bangkok, I witnessed firsthand that I was capable of accomplishing great things despite adversity,&#8221; Olivia wrote on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DRcOtXOAWlq\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> on Nov. 21. &#8220;But to continue on this path, I must remain true to my values: respect, dignity, excellence, and equal opportunity the strongest pillars that guide me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old added, &#8220;With a heart full of gratitude and profound respect, I hereby announce my resignation from the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, as well as from any future affiliation with the Miss Universe Committee.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>E! News has reached out to the Miss Universe Organization for comment and has not heard back.<\/p>\n<p>Olivia\u2014who placed fifth in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant after the Philippines&#8217;\u00a0Ahtisa Manalo, Venezuela&#8217;s Stephany Abasali, Thailand&#8217;s Praveenar Sing and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1425355\/fatima-bosch-miss-mexico-crowned-miss-universe-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer nofollow\">winner F\u00e1tima Bosch\u00a0from Mexico<\/a>\u2014said that throughout her journey as an ambassador and beauty queen, she has served with commitment and determination.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Miss Universe 2025 finalist Olivia Yac\u00e9 is sticking to her principles.
