{"id":306724,"date":"2025-11-25T21:29:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T21:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/306724\/"},"modified":"2025-11-25T21:29:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T21:29:07","slug":"lakers-center-deandre-ayton-to-miss-game-tonight-against-clippers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/306724\/","title":{"rendered":"Lakers center Deandre Ayton to miss game tonight against Clippers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/lakers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Lakers<\/a> made two announcements Tuesday, saying that center <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/lakers\/story\/2025-09-30\/lakers-marcus-smart-deandre-ayton-common-goal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Deandre Ayton<\/a> was out for the game against the Clippers at Cyrpto.com Arena because of a bruised right knee and that they had signed forward <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/timmedr01.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Drew Timme<\/a> to a two-way contract.<\/p>\n<p>The team also announced that it had waived two-way center Christian Koloko.<\/p>\n<p>Timme had played for the Lakers\u2019 G League team, the South Bay Lakers, and posted averages of 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 25.5 minutes during six games.<\/p>\n<p>The 6-10 Timme played his college basketball at Gonzaga.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI talked to [Lakers president of basketball operations] Rob [Pelinka] and everyone yesterday, last night and they told me,\u201d Timme said after the Lakers\u2019 shootaround Tuesday. \u201cI was just super excited.
