Tyrese is now tasked with adapting to the return of Paul George and Jared McCain, who open up varied offensive options for Philadelphia, while Joel Embiid, Kelly Oubre and VJ Edgecombe remain out.<\/p>\n

Among players with more than 14 games played, Maxey is 10th in the NBA in drives per game, attacking the rim 14.9 per game.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s fourth in the league in shots on these drives \u2014 8.3 FGA \u2014 but doesn\u2019t pass nearly as much, dishing the ball 4.1 times, which is lower than anyone else in the Top 24, including Zion Williamson (4.8), Ja Morant (4.8), LaMelo Ball (4.5) and Paolo Banchero (4.3).<\/p>\n

Cam Thomas, No. 25, is at 2.9 passes on drives per game.<\/p>\n

Can Maxey find George and McCain readily, as well as Embiid when he returns, while maintaining his hot streak as a scorer?<\/p>\n

Watch his pick-and-rolls tonight against the Magic, who boast the NBA\u2019s 10th best defensive rating at 116.8 and allow the fifth-lowest shooting percentage at shots at the rim at 59.1.<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be a good test for the Kentucky product, who, while he\u2019s been an unstoppable scorer, may seek to adapt into more of a floor general as his talented teammates find their rhythm.<\/p>\n

Franz Wagner and the Magic host the 76ers to continue Emirates NBA Cup play in the opening contest of our opening \u2018NBA Coast 2 Coast Tuesday\u2019 doubleheader on NBC and Peacock.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve got two rising Eastern Conference squads and the Battle for Los Angeles tonight in our \u2018Coast 2 Coast Tuesday\u2019 doubleheader on NBC and Peacock as the 2025 Emirates NBA Cup continues.<\/p>\n

In the opener, Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers head to Orlando to take on Franz Wagner and the Magic (8 ET).<\/p>\n

Orlando\u2019s gotten hot without Paolo Banchero, who\u2019s missed the last six games, going 4-2 as they rise to seventh in the East.<\/p>\n

In Paolo\u2019s absence, Desmond Bane has found his shooting stroke, scoring 21.3 ppg while shooting 43\/40\/97 from the field, as has Tristan Da Silva (13.3 ppg, 5.2 reb).<\/p>\n

They\u2019re seeking a 3-0 record in East Group B as they strive to advance to the Knockout Rounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got a deep team,\u201d said Bane after Orlando lost to Houston Sunday. \u201cWe\u2019ve got trust in everybody \u2014 next man up mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sixers are reincorporating Paul George and Jared McCain while adapting to the losses of Joel Embiid, Kelly Oubre and VJ Edgecombe.<\/p>\n

Andre Drummond is there, though, and a force on the glass as always. In Sunday\u2019s loss to the Heat, he dropped 14 points and 24 rebounds.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s put up 92 games with 20+ rebounds in his career, which is the most among active players.<\/p>\n

In the nightcap, Luka Don\u010di\u0107 and the Los Angeles Lakers host James Harden and the LA Clippers (11 ET).<\/p>\n

The Lakers hold a 156-87 all-time edge over the Clippers, dating back to the time the latter franchise played in Buffalo.<\/p>\n

Will the Clippers bolster their win total tonight?<\/p>\n

James Harden\u2019s been on a heater, averaging 34.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists over his last five games, while Kawhi Leonard is settling back after returning against the Cavaliers on Sunday.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ll face Don\u010di\u0107, LeBron James and Austin Reaves in an all-star matchup in Tinseltown.<\/p>\n
