The band performed the Amnesiac song for the first time in seven years<\/p>\n
\n\tAfter much wishful thinking, Radiohead<\/a> performed \u201cLike Spinning Plates\u201d during their last show at the O2 in London<\/a> on Tuesday. The band closed out their four-show run in the city, surprising lucky fans to the Amnesiac track and giving the song its debut on their reunion tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cLike Spinning Plates\u201d was built over the backing track of an early recording of \u201cI Will\u201d (which later appeared on 2003\u2019s Hail to the Thief), run in reverse. \u201cWe\u2019d turned the tape around, and I was in another room, heard the vocal melody coming backwards, and thought, \u2018That\u2019s miles better than the right way round,\u2019 then spent the rest of the night trying to learn the melody,\u201d Thom Yorke told The Wire <\/a>in a 2001 interview, per Citizen Insane<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tFans have responded accordingly to Tuesday\u2019s performance, with one attendee on X declaring, \u201cwtf do you mean i just heard like spinning plates live??????\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tEarlier this month, Radiohead\u00a0performed both \u201cKid A\u201d and \u201cTalk Show Host\u201d<\/a> for the first time since 2018 at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy. The band previously broke out Amnesiac\u00a0songs tracks \u201cYou and Whose Army\u201d and \u201cPyramid Song\u201d during their current trek.<\/p>\n
