It was great timing, actually \u2014 I think it was as the receivers were standing on top of the arm trucks, that\u2019s most likely what he would have been doing. It was good timing,\u201d the 39-year-old bench boss said.<\/p>\n<p>Mace and Marshawn Lynch spent three seasons together as teammates with the Buffalo Bills from 2007 to 2009. The former defensive lineman signed as an undrafted free agent and dressed for five NFL regular-season games, recording two total tackles, one pass deflection, and one interception. The former running back was selected in the first round, 12th overall during the 2007 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n<p>Lynch rushed for over 1,000 yards in his first two seasons with the Bills. He was eventually traded to Seattle in 2010 and went on to become a first-team All-Pro in 2012 and win Super Bowl XLVIII as a star with the Seahawks. The five-foot-eleven, 215-pound ball carrier rushed 2,453 times for 10,413 yards \u2014 averaging 4.2 per carry \u2014 with 85 touchdowns, plus 287 receptions for 2,214 yards and nine scores.<\/p>\n<p>Saskatchewan finished first in the West Division for the first time since 2019 with a 12-6 record in 2025.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/3downnation.com\/2025\/11\/17\/trevor-harris-paints-grey-cup-masterpiece-and-seven-other-thoughts-on-saskatchewan-25-17-win-over-montreal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Riders went on to defeat the Montreal Alouettes in the 112th Grey Cup at Princess Auto Stadium<\/a>, marking the team\u2019s first title in 12 years. Trevor Harris went 11-5 as a starter, throwing for 4,549 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 16 regular-season starts.<\/p>\n<p>The Roughriders ranked second in net offence, second in net defence, and tied for third with a turnover differential of plus-eight. The club\u2019s leading rusher was A.J. Ouellette with 1,222 yards, leading receiver was KeeSean Johnson with 1,159 yards, and leading tackler was A.J. Allen with 91 tackles.
