{"id":308216,"date":"2025-11-26T13:54:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T13:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/308216\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T13:54:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T13:54:07","slug":"kenyas-economic-growth-forecast-rises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/308216\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenya\u2019s economic growth forecast rises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The World Bank lifted its forecast for Kenya\u2019s economic growth, noting a faster than expected recovery in the construction sector. <\/p>\n<p>East Africa\u2019s largest economy is now <a href=\"https:\/\/documents1.worldbank.org\/curated\/en\/099112125062524216\/pdf\/P507067-4f692fc7-8081-4630-9dd2-d3768ce9defc.pdf\" class=\"styles_linkEmbed__SNmaX\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">anticipated to grow on average by 4.9%<\/a> between 2025 and 2027, up from an earlier projection of 4.5%. <\/p>\n<p>Floods, high interest rates, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semafor.com\/article\/07\/09\/2025\/kenya-protests-hit-businesses-ward-off-investors\" class=\"styles_linkEmbed__SNmaX\" rel=\"no-referrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">subdued business sentiment following anti-government protests<\/a> contributed to an economic slowdown earlier this year.
