So, I cheated a little bit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019re not including BC\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/nathan-rourke\/165740\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Nathan Rourke\">Nathan Rourke<\/a> because, well, his season speaks for itself. One of them was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/keon-hatcher-sr\/166126\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Keon Hatcher Sr.<\/a>, who led the league in receiving yards. But don\u2019t forget <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/justin-mcinnis\/164864\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Justin McInnis\">Justin McInnis<\/a>, who followed up his breakout season in impressive fashion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">McInnis was the CFL\u2019s leading receiver in 2024 with 1,469 yards to go along with seven touchdowns. So, to see him finish third with 1,256 yards (and another seven touchdowns) one year later reinforces McInnis as one of the league\u2019s most dynamic and consistent receivers.<\/p>\n<p>A.J. ALLEN | LINEBACKER | SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS<br \/>\n<img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2775622\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2775622 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/A.J._Allen_2025_001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2043\" height=\"1152\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2775622\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">LB A.J. Allen was part of a defence that allowed the fewest points per game in 2025 (Arthur Ward\/CFL.ca)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speaking of breakout seasons, that\u2019s exactly what University of Guelph product <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/a-j-allen\/165760\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"A.J. Allen\">A.J. Allen<\/a> is coming off. In his fourth season with the Riders, the former fourth-round pick was a crucial part of Saskatchewan\u2019s triumph in the 112th Grey Cup earlier this month. In fact, Allen racked up six defensive tackles and one more on special team as the Riders won their first title since 2013.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slotting in at weakside linebacker all season, Allen finished fifth overall with 87 defensive tackles while forming an outstanding duo with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/jameer-thurman\/163347\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Jameer Thurman\">Jameer Thurman<\/a> in the middle. Along the way, Allen recorded four sacks, three interceptions, and three forced fumbles as he impacted the game in all kinds of different ways.<\/p>\n<p>PIER-OLIVIER LESTAGE | OFFENSIVE LINEMAN | MONTREAL ALOUETTES<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a year full of stellar Canadian offensive lineman, we\u2019re highlighting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/pier-olivier-lestage\/166244\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Pier-Olivier Lestage\">Pier-Olivier Lestage<\/a> because he really was that good. A second-round pick of the Als in 2021, Lestage just completed his fourth CFL season and was a key part of a 10-8 finish as a stalwart at left guard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cCounting stats\u201d are not always readily available for offensive linemen, but Lestage was an integral piece for a Montreal team that finished second overall by allowing just 26 sacks during the regular season. And, over at Pro Football Focus, Lestage was ranked as the league\u2019s second-best guard and finished number one in their run blocking category.<\/p>\n<p>REDHA KRAMDI | LINEBACKER | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS<br \/>\n<img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2749877\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2749877 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Redha_Kramdi_2025.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2043\" height=\"1152\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2749877\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">LB Redha Kramdi helped the Bombers finish with the third best defence in yards and points allowed in 2025 (Andrew Mahon\/CFL.ca)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With so many big-name defensive mainstays on the Bombers, a player like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/redha-kramdi\/166250\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Redha Kramdi\">Redha Kramdi<\/a> can sometimes fly under the radar. Quietly, though, the 2021 second-round pick from the University of Montreal has quietly turned into one of the league\u2019s best SAM linebackers. And this year was his best yet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kramdi finished with 47 defensive tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble in 16 appearances. But what doesn\u2019t necessarily show up is how consistent he was across the board. Kramdi scored elite marks in PFF\u2019s run stopping category to pair with a solid coverage grade. All told, he was PFF\u2019s top ranked SAM overall, ahead of mainstays like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/derrick-moncrief\/163122\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Derrick Moncrief\">Derrick Moncrief<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/adarius-pickett\/166322\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Adarius Pickett\">Adarius Pickett<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>TEVAUGHN CAMPBELL | DEFENSIVE BACK | SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What a return to Canada. After six years south of the border, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/tevaughn-campbell\/161543\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Tevaughn Campbell\">Tevaughn Campbell<\/a> came back to the CFL and was an instant fit with an already elite Saskatchewan secondary. Immediately placed at field corner, Campbell joined a Riders defensive backfield that included <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/rolan-milligan-jr\/166542\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Rolan Milligan Jr.<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/marcus-sayles\/163412\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Marcus Sayles\">Marcus Sayles<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/c-j-reavis\/166773\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"C.J. Reavis\">C.J. Reavis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 13 regular season appearances, Campbell tied for the league lead with six interceptions to go along with 18 defensive tackles, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown. Campbell also finished second among field corners as ranked by PFF. Oh, and let\u2019s not forget his interception and forced fumble in a stellar performance helping Saskatchewan take home the 112th Grey Cup.<\/p>\n<p>SEAN WHYTE | KICKER | BC LIONS<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Already one of the most accurate kickers the league has ever seen, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/sean-whyte\/136193\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Sean Whyte\">Sean Whyte<\/a> took it to a new level in 2025. By completing 39 of 41 field goals, Whyte led the league with a 95.1 per cent conversion rate. That also happened to be the second most accurate season in CFL history, behind only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/lewis-ward\/163159\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Lewis Ward<\/a> of the REDBLACKS (98.1 per cent) in 2018.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And the crowning moment for local product Whyte was the Western Semi-Final. Born in White Rock, Whyte won\u2019t soon forget walking it off for the Lions at BC Place in a thrilling 33-30 win over the Calgary Stampeders.<\/p>\n<p>STAVROS KATSANTONIS | DEFENSIVE BACK | HAMILTON TIGER-CATS<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A 2020 fourth-round pick out of the University of British Columbia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/stavros-katsantonis\/165761\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Stavros Katsantonis\">Stavros Katsantonis<\/a> has steadily grown into the CFL\u2019s gold standard at safety. And for the first time, the rest of the league truly recognized that fact as he earned his first All-CFL honour thanks to a stellar 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Katsantonis tied for the league lead with six interceptions to go along with an impressive 72 defensive tackles. And over at PFF, Katsantonis was ranked the league\u2019s best safety for much of the season and finished neck and neck near the top of their list along with Calgary\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/damon-webb\/165623\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Damon Webb\">Damon Webb<\/a> and BC\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/cristophe-beaulieu\/168799\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Cristophe Beaulieu\">Cristophe Beaulieu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"I didn\u2019t think this assignment was going to be so tough.
