{"id":309562,"date":"2025-11-27T05:11:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T05:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/309562\/"},"modified":"2025-11-27T05:11:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T05:11:11","slug":"shopify-lays-off-staff-to-keep-team-fast-sharp-and-focused","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/309562\/","title":{"rendered":"Shopify lays off staff to keep team &#8216;fast, sharp and focused&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Shopify Inc. says it has laid off some of its staff to help streamline the e-commerce software giant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Spokesperson Ben McConaghy would not provide a number of workers losing their jobs but says in an email to The Canadian Press that the cuts impact a &#8220;fraction of a per cent&#8221; of Shopify&#8217;s team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Financial markets firm LSEG Data &amp; Analytics counted 8,100 Shopify employees as of December 2024.
