Today\u2019s episode of The Young and the Restless is a classic that originally aired on November 16, 1990 and brings high emotion on two fronts as Nikki struggles with a risky medical choice while Danny and Cricket prepare for their dream wedding in Hawaii. Victor presses Nikki for answers she refuses to give, and Jack steps up in ways she needs most, while love takes center stage as the long awaited ceremony begins. <\/p>\n

Jack is worried about Nikki and the pain she\u2019s in.<\/p>\n

Nikki doesn\u2019t want to live with the pain, but she\u2019s scared she\u2019ll be paralyzed by the surgery.<\/p>\n

\"JackCBS<\/p>\n

Jack agrees. They have to weigh their options and figure out what to do.<\/p>\n

The doorbell rings. It\u2019s Victor, who asks to talk to Nikki.<\/p>\n

Nikki invites him in, but the phone rings. It\u2019s for Jack, and she tells him to take the call upstairs. It\u2019s business from Australia. Jack heads upstairs to take the call, and Nikki asks what Victor is there for.<\/p>\n

\"VictorCBS<\/p>\n

Victor says he has some decisions to make. He asks if she\u2019s alright; she looks like she\u2019s been crying. Nikki denies it, and Victor says he\u2019s there to confirm their plans for the holidays with the children.<\/p>\n

Nikki doesn\u2019t want to talk about it tonight. It\u2019s been a hectic week, and she\u2019s got a lot on her mind.<\/p>\n

Victor wonders if there\u2019s a problem with her marriage.<\/p>\n

\"NikkiCBS<\/p>\n

Nikki says she and Jack are fine. There\u2019s nothing wrong with her marriage!<\/p>\n

Victor thought it would be nice if they could spend some time together over the holidays.<\/p>\n

Nikki is surprised. He wants to have Ashley, Jack, and the children there, too?<\/p>\n

\"VictorCBS<\/p>\n

Victor nods. Just a couple of days.<\/p>\n

Jack watches from the bottom of the stairs.<\/p>\n

Nikki says she\u2019ll call him and they\u2019ll come up with a plan.<\/p>\n

Victor agrees and leaves.<\/p>\n

Danny talks with his dad, Rex, on a beach in Hawaii. He\u2019s happy about his upcoming marriage.<\/p>\n

Rex is proud of him. He thinks Danny\u2019s mom would have adored Cricket, and is looking down at Danny with a happy smile. They leave the beach.<\/p>\n

Leanna makes a call as Rex gets dressed. She\u2019s looking for her luggage and gets angry when the airline agent can\u2019t help her. She ends the call and complains that she doesn\u2019t have the dress she wants to wear.<\/p>\n

\"RexCBS<\/p>\n

Rex gets her to help him with his bowtie. She leaves it crooked and says it\u2019s perfect. Rex is the best man, and needs to get to the ceremony ASAP.<\/p>\n

Leanna tells him to get to the wedding\u2026 She\u2019ll be there, but hopefully not dressed in a sarong!<\/p>\n

Rex laughs. \u201cWhat\u2019s so wrong with a sarong?\u201d He leaves the room.<\/p>\n

\"RexCBS<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a knock at the door. It\u2019s a huge black man who calls himself \u201cJumbo Man\u201d, asking for Leanna Love. He says she took his suitcase\u2026 Is this hers? He holds up a suitcase.<\/p>\n

Leanna says that is her suitcase and tells him she has his bag. She invites him inside and asks him to give her her suitcase.<\/p>\n

\""JumboCBS<\/p>\n

The man wants to check his suitcase first. He has some very important stuff inside! He looks in the suitcase and finds a green satin robe, embroidered with rhinestones spelling out \u201cJumbo Man\u201d. He\u2019s very proud of it, puts it on, and struts around. He tells Leanna that he\u2019ll leave tickets for his match tonight. He leaves.<\/p>\n

Leanna laughs. \u201cThis is Hawaii\u2026 Are we having fun yet?\u201d She opens her suitcase and finds the dress she was looking for. \u201cThank God!\u201d<\/p>\n

\"JumboCBS<\/p>\n

\"LeannaCBS<\/p>\n

The Wedding Venue<\/p>\n

Outside the church, Christine\u2019s half-brother, Scott Grainger, escorts her out of the limo.<\/p>\n

\"ScottCBS<\/p>\n

Cricket is excited\u2026 Danny chose the perfect place to get married!<\/p>\n

\"CricketCBS<\/p>\n

They head inside, and Cricket gushes that she thinks this marriage will be forever.<\/p>\n

Scott agrees. If ever a couple was meant to be, it\u2019s her and Danny!<\/p>\n

Cricket wishes her mom could be there. She remembers talking with her mom in the hospital just before she died about getting married. She can feel her mom\u2019s presence, and she brought a picture of her with her.<\/p>\n

\"CricketCBS<\/p>\n

Scott smiles. He tells her to take a minute while he looks around.<\/p>\n

Cricket looks at her mom\u2019s picture. \u201cIt\u2019s happening, mom, the day you dreamed about and hoped to see! I wish you were here with me!\u201d She knows that Danny is the one that her mother knew would always come along for her, and today is the happiest day of her life!<\/p>\n

\"ScottCBS<\/p>\n

Nina and Scott come over, and Nina says she has the ring\u2026 Is Cricket ready?<\/p>\n

Cricket smiles with tears in her eyes. \u201cI\u2019m ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

Outside the Church<\/p>\n

Gina tells Danny that he and Cricket are lucky to have each other.<\/p>\n

\"GinaCBS<\/p>\n

Danny grins. He knows it! He asks his dad if he has the ring, and is reassured that he does.<\/p>\n

The reverend shows up with the band, and they get themselves prepared.<\/p>\n

Leanna runs up, gasping. She\u2019s happy she made it in time!<\/p>\n

\"RexCBS<\/p>\n

Danny looks a bit awkward as he tries to avoid Leanna\u2019s gaze.<\/p>\n

\"DannyCBS<\/p>\n

The Newman House<\/p>\n

Victor comes home and kisses Ashley.<\/p>\n

\"VictorCBS<\/p>\n

Ashley throws her arms around him and asks if he made plans with Nikki for the holidays.<\/p>\n

Victor shrugs. It wasn\u2019t a very fruitful visit.<\/p>\n

Ashley figures Jack must have been there.<\/p>\n

\"AshleyCBS<\/p>\n

Victor nods. Jack wasn\u2019t the problem, though\u2026 Nikki seemed to have been crying.<\/p>\n

Ashley tells Victor that Nikki is his former wife. She and Jack need to handle this themselves. Victor needs to cut the cord; he\u2019s not responsible for her anymore! She wants to have Victor to herself tonight\u2026 She doesn\u2019t want him thinking of anyone else! She kisses him deeply.<\/p>\n

\"VictorCBS<\/p>\n

Victor laughs. He has a wonderful idea\u2026 They should go upstairs and have a shower together!<\/p>\n

Ashley thinks that\u2019s a great idea.<\/p>\n

\"AshleyCBS<\/p>\n

The Abbott House<\/p>\n

Jack asks Nikki if Victor upset her. Did she tell him anything about her physical situation?<\/p>\n

\"JackCBS<\/p>\n

Nikki didn\u2019t want Victor to know. This is a decision she needs to make with her husband, not her former husband! She doesn\u2019t want Victor involved in this at all!<\/p>\n

Jack kisses her and hugs her comfortingly. They sit down, and Jack asks what Victor wanted from her.<\/p>\n

Nikki says Victor wanted to talk about handling the holidays with the children.<\/p>\n

\"JackCBS<\/p>\n

Jack says they\u2019ll handle it by having a wonderful Christmas as a family. There will be a huge Christmas tree, carols on the radio, and cookies in the oven!<\/p>\n

Nikki smiles. Sounds like they\u2019ll have a perfect Christmas if Jack has his way! She\u2019s looking forward to the holidays, but she wishes that she could be sure what the season holds for her.<\/p>\n

Jack tells her that no matter what she decides, he\u2019ll be right beside her. They kiss.<\/p>\n

\"NikkiCBS<\/p>\n

Outside the Church<\/p>\n

Cricket walks up the aisle on Scott\u2019s arm, smiling. She takes Danny\u2019s hand, and the priest begins the ceremony.<\/p>\n

\"DannyCBS<\/p>\n

Danny and Cricket gaze lovingly into one another\u2019s eyes.<\/p>\n

They say their solemn vows. \u201cI will.\u201d<\/p>\n

Danny places the ring on her finger. \u201cAs a symbol of my promise, I give you this ring.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"DannyCBS<\/p>\n

Cricket says she\u2019ll be there in sickness and in health, and will cherish him forever.<\/p>\n

The priest pronounces them husband and wife.<\/p>\n

They kiss, and happy tears are shed.<\/p>\n

Everyone applauds and hugs.<\/p>\n

Nighttime on the Beach<\/p>\n

Danny and Cricket kiss. Rex, Gina, Scott, Leanna, Nina, and David Kimball congratulate them. <\/p>\n

\"Gina,CBS<\/p>\n

Rex proposes a toast, and everyone raises their glasses. \u201cLet the festivities begin!\u201d<\/p>\n

Hula dancers come out and dance around as everyone celebrates.<\/p>\n
