{"id":310013,"date":"2025-11-27T10:11:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T10:11:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/310013\/"},"modified":"2025-11-27T10:11:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T10:11:08","slug":"shopify-lay-offs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/310013\/","title":{"rendered":"Shopify lay offs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Shopify Inc. says it has laid off some of its staff to help streamline the e-commerce software giant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Spokesperson Ben McConaghy would not provide a number of workers losing their jobs but says in an email to The Canadian Press that the cuts impact a \u201cfraction of a per cent\u201d of Shopify\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Financial markets firm LSEG Data &amp; Analytics counted 8,100 Shopify employees as of December 2024.
