{"id":310927,"date":"2025-11-27T20:26:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T20:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/310927\/"},"modified":"2025-11-27T20:26:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T20:26:08","slug":"mario-barrios-rates-the-punching-power-of-manny-pacquiao-and-gervonta-davis-he-definitely-cracks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/310927\/","title":{"rendered":"Mario Barrios rates the punching power of Manny Pacquiao and Gervonta Davis: &#8220;He definitely cracks&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/mario-barrios\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mario Barrios<\/a> has faced some of boxing\u2019s biggest names, but the reigning WBC welterweight world champion has admitted that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/boxing\/story\/_\/id\/45780217\/manny-pacquiao-46-battles-mario-barrios-majority-draw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">power of 46-year-old Manny Pacquiao took him by surprise when they fought in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Barrios outpointed Botirzhon Akhmedov to claim the WBA super-lightweight world title in 2019 but made just one defence of the belt before a first career defeat to <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/gervonta-davis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gervonta Davis<\/a> cost him the throne in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Despite defeat to Keith Thurman upon his next outing, Barrios bounced back with three straight victories and was upgraded to WBC welterweight champion last year, drawing in both of his title defences since against Abel Ramos and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/sport\/2025\/jul\/20\/pacquiao-barrios-majority-draw-welterweight-title\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Manny Pacquiao<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/shorts\/lQvEyKkJiOo?si=D_Ttswk53E1DHvdh\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fight Hub TV<\/a>, Barrios declared that he realised he was in a tougher fight than many had predicted after sharing just one round with \u2018Pac Man\u2019, who had fought only once in six years beforehand and said both the Filipino legend and Davis could \u2018crack\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t compare power a lot.
