Singer T-Pain and record producer DJ Khaled previously collaborated on smash-hit songs including I\u2019m So Hood (Remix), Welcome to My Hood, All I Do Is Win, and Go Hard.<\/p>\n

Despite their collaborative successes, T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Rashad Najm, recently called DJ Khaled out explicitly and used their previous relationship to explain why there\u2019s nothing like brotherly love in the music industry.<\/p>\n

The I\u2019m Sprung singer, who touched on the topic during an appearance on Shannon Sharpe\u2019s Club Shay Shay, emphasized that people in the music business only use the term \u201cbrother\u201d when they want to take advantage of others, adding that they ultimately bail out when there\u2019s nothing to gain anymore.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody is your brother. Nobody,\u201d T-Pain told the host, per Complex. \u201cEverybody is your brother while they can use you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old singer also said he preferred that people be sincere about their intentions, as opposed to playing mindgames.<\/p>\n

\u201cTell me what the business is,\u201d T-Pain emphasized. \u201cSay, \u2018We\u2019re gonna make some money, separate for a while, and I\u2019ll come back when I need you.\u2019 Cool. Don\u2019t hit me with the \u2018you my brother\u2019 stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Buy U a Drank singer subsequently referenced DJ Khaled, suggesting that the record producer went on the \u201cbrother\u201d tangent with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cFck DJ Khaled,\u201d T-Pain said. \u201cEverybody done told me \u2018I\u2019m your brother.\u2019 Do not believe that sht.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite airing out his feelings about DJ Khaled, T-Pain emphasized that the 50-year-old record producer wasn\u2019t the sole person with the alleged character, as he was the first individual whose name popped up when he was trying to buttress his point.<\/p>\n

T-Pain further highlighted that though he helped propel the careers of several people, he did not receive any reciprocation whatsoever.<\/p>\n

\u201cThink about how many people I\u2019ve helped in their career,\u201d he stated. \u201cBack to back to back, \u2018You\u2019re my brother, you\u2019re my brother.\u2019 And none of that sh*t was reciprocated. None of it meant anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bartender singer also touched on how to determine when someone is being sincere with you and when it\u2019s the opposite.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you build somebody\u2019s career and all they say is, \u2018Yo, you my brother\u2019 \u2026 you\u2019ll never see them again,\u201d he said, per Complex. \u201cThe people who say, \u2018There\u2019s something I can do for you,\u2019 those are the ones you keep around.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cWhen people tell you how much you mean to them, don\u2019t grab onto that. When people tell you how much they can mean to you in return, that\u2019s the sh*t you gravitate toward.\u201d<\/p>\n
