{"id":311870,"date":"2025-11-28T07:33:18","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T07:33:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/311870\/"},"modified":"2025-11-28T07:33:18","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T07:33:18","slug":"colts-former-2nd-round-pick-suspended-after-brawl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/311870\/","title":{"rendered":"Colts&#8217; former 2nd-round pick suspended after brawl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kemoko Turay&#8217;s first season in the CFL just took a rough turn.<\/p>\n<p>He received a one-game suspension from the Canadian Football League for inciting a postgame brawl after the BC Lions&#8217; 21-20 win over the Montreal Alouettes.<\/p>\n<p>Turay was a second-round pick in the NFL Draft in 2018 by the Indianapolis Colts.<\/p>\n<p>He was the only player the CFL suspended. Three other players were fined.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNon-football acts negatively impact the reputation and professional standing of the CFL and they will not be tolerated,\u201d CFL Commissioner Stewart Johnston <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/cfl-suspends-former-nfl-lb-kemoko-turay-for-role-in-recent-brawl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said in a statement<\/a>. \u201cThese actions do not reflect the values of our league. He spent four seasons with the Colts and then played a season with the 49ers.<\/p>\n<p>He was a collegiate star at Rutgers.<\/p>\n<p>In his NFL career, Turay was a situational pass-rusher.
