While\u00a0Zootopia 2\u00a0isn\u2019t expected to soar quite as high as\u00a0Moana 2\u00a0did, it\u2019s still headed for a massive\u00a0$140 million five-day gross (as per <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/11\/zootopia-2-wicked-for-good-tuesday-box-office-1236629566\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Deadline<\/a>). Over the standard three-day weekend, projections sit at\u00a0$88\u201390 million, comfortably ahead of the original film\u2019s $75 million debut. However, that\u2019s still significantly below\u00a0Moana 2\u2019s\u00a0gigantic $225 million\u00a0opening last year.<\/p>\n<p>One contributing factor is the overall softness of the 2025 box office. Even\u00a0Wicked: For Good\u00a0is trailing the first installment, currently pacing for a\u00a0$91 million\u00a0five-day weekend, compared to the original\u2019s\u00a0$118 million.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, exhibitors have reason to celebrate. The industry has been desperate for hits since September\u2019s one-two punch of\u00a0The Conjuring: Last Rites\u00a0and\u00a0Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. Unfortunately, most new releases aren\u2019t getting the typical Thanksgiving bump.\u00a0Now You See Me: Now You Don\u2019t\u00a0is headed for a modest\u00a0$8.5 million\u00a0three-day weekend, while\u00a0Predator: Badlands\u00a0should land around\u00a0$5.4 million.<\/p>\n<p>The bright spot is A24\u2019s excellent rom-com\u00a0Eternity, which is over-performing with a potential fifth-place finish at\u00a0$5.4 million\u00a0despite playing on only about 1,300 screens. If audiences show up\u2014and they should\u2014they\u2019ll discover a real gem (check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joblo.com\/eternity-review-a24s-latest-is-the-best-rom-com-in-years\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">review<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ieodiLM_qWo&amp;feature=youtu.be\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">interviews<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Focus Features\u2019 awards contender\u00a0Hamnet\u00a0is also thriving in limited release, headed for roughly\u00a0$1.4 million\u00a0over the five-day holiday with a strong\u00a0$11K+ per-screen average.<\/p>\n<p>Here are our Thanksgiving weekend box-office predictions:<\/p>\n<p>Zootopia 2: $140 million<\/p>\n<p>Wicked: For Good: $90 million<\/p>\n<p>Now You See Me: Now You Don\u2019t: $8.5 million<\/p>\n<p>Predator: Badlands: $5.5 million<\/p>\n<p>Eternity: $5.4 million<\/p>\n<p>What are you seeing over the holiday?
