There were plenty of breakout prospects<\/a>, such as pitchers Gage Stanifer and Johnny King, while a handful of position players made a name for themselves, such as Yohendrick Pi\u00f1ango and Juan Sanchez.<\/p>\n Well, on Thursday evening, MLB Pipeline announced that Trey Yesavage and RJ Schreck won their annual Prospects of the Year award for the Blue Jays.<\/p>\n \u2744\ufe0f Ice Trey and RJ \ud83d\ude24<\/p>\n Trey Yesavage and RJ Schreck are MLB Pipeline\u2019s Blue Jays Prospects of the Year! <\/p>\n Yesavage was all but guaranteed to win the award. Drafted 20th overall in the 2024 draft, the 22-year-old righty made his professional debut in 2025, going from Single-A to starting Game 1 of the World Series<\/a>. Between all four \u201cA\u201d levels in 2025, Yesavage had a 3.12 ERA and 2.52 FIP in 98 innings pitched, with a 41.1 K% and 10.5 BB%.<\/p>\n Toward the end of the season, the Blue Jays called him up and added him to the rotation, where he made three starts with a 3.21 ERA and 2.35 FIP in 14 innings pitched. It was the postseason where Yesavage made a name for himself, striking out 11 Yankees in five and one-third no-hit innings to lead the Blue Jays to a Game 2 victory.<\/p>\n In a pivotal Game 5 in the World Series, Yesavage struck out 12 in seven innings of one-hit ball, leading to the Jays\u2019 6-1 win to push the Los Angeles Dodgers to the brink. As a whole, Yesavage had a 3.58 ERA and 3.61 FIP in 27.2 innings pitched in the post-season.<\/p>\n Yesavage being named as the Blue Jays\u2019 pitching prospect of the year didn\u2019t come as a surprise, but RJ Schreck\u2019s ascent to become a top 10 prospect is a little more surprising.\u00a0<\/p>\n
