The 2025 MAMA Awards<\/a> have announced several changes in its programming following the devastating fires in Hong Kong \u2013 find out more below.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition of the annual K-pop wards is slated over two days in Hong Kong on November 28 and 29. Earlier this week, a massive blaze broke out in an apartment building in Hong Kong<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Per the BBC<\/a>, the death toll has risen to 94, with more people missing. The raging fire took nearly two whole days to put out, as the materials used to construct the building were not fireproof. Investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the scheduled MAMA Awards tonight, organisers have confirmed that the ceremony will proceed as planned, though its red carpet event is being cancelled. Per a Soompi<\/a> report, a statement from the MAMA committee has also confirmed that a segment of the show will include a \u201csupport Hong Kong\u201d message to \u201ccreate a time to share in the sorrow and commemorate\u201d the devastating incident.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the committee plans to \u201ccontribute our efforts through donations to support the victims\u201d of the deadly blaze.<\/p>\n
