Louis Tomlinson<\/a> had \u201cone thing\u201d from his One Direction<\/a> days that he couldn’t get behind.<\/p>\n While answering fan questions for Capital FM<\/a>, in promotion of his new album How Did I Get Here?, the former boy band member, 33, had a quick answer to a query about which song he most hated performing.<\/p>\n \u201cMaybe some people wouldn\u2019t answer this, but I\u2019m not sure there was a single time I performed One Direction\u2019s \u2018What Makes You Beautiful\u2019 and enjoyed it,\u201d Tomlinson said. \u201cThat always felt like a bit of a challenge.\u201d\n<\/p>\n Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles of One Direction in 2013.<\/p>\n \u00a0Dave M. Benett\/WireImage<\/p>\n \u201cWhat Makes You Beautiful” was the debut single from the group, which formed on The X Factor in 2010 and also included members Harry Styles<\/a>, Niall Horan<\/a>, Liam Payne<\/a> and Zayn Malik<\/a>. The song was an international hit and helped launch the band to stardom.\n<\/p>\n Tomlinson also revealed which unreleased song from his One Direction era he\u2019d most like to share with fans.<\/p>\n \u201cI think we wrote it for the last One Direction record album or the one before…I think it got leaked, actually \u2014 it was a song called \u2018Where We Are.\u2019 I always really, really loved that song. I was fighting for that song to make the record. Tomlinson will collaborate with Malik on a three-part Netflix series<\/a>, which sees the pair traveling across America together.\n<\/p>\n Louis Tomlinson in 2023.<\/p>\n Jeff Spicer\/Getty<\/p>\n How Did I Get Here?, set to release on Jan. 23, 2026, is Tomlinson\u2019s third studio album, following 2020\u2019s Walls and 2022\u2019s Faith in the Future.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \u201cI hope it feels like a reflection of how confident I am, but breezy is a real nice way of putting it,\u201d Tomlinson told Rolling Stone UK<\/a> about his upcoming record, which features the single \u201cLemonade.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a long time since, professionally and personally, I\u2019ve been able to have a little spring in my step,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo, hopefully that comes across in the record.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
