article font size<\/p>\n<p>A rail safety advocate in Lac-M\u00e9gantic, Que., says he was fined nearly $700 after he reported a safety concern with the train tracks running through the community.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1763808739_201_70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Robert Bellefleur says he sent photos to Canadian Pacific Kansas City in June that showed erosion around a culvert.<\/p>\n<p>He says that in July he was visited at home by two armed CPKC police officers who informed him that he was under investigation for illegally trespassing on <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/railway\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">railway<\/a> property.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" loading=\"lazy\" day.<\/p>\n<p>Bellefleur, who is the spokesman for a rail safety group, said he was later assessed a $668 fine by the Quebec prosecutor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>Bellefleur doesn\u2019t believe he was
