What in the world do riders do in the off-season? <\/p>\n

Hello Velo, it\u2019s been an eventful off-season for many WorldTour and gravel cyclists.<\/p>\n

Wedding planning kicked into high gear for several of them. Ben Healy<\/a> proposed to his partner on their African vacation, while WorldTour couple Pauline Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot<\/a> and Dylan van Baarle got engaged after several years together. Quinn Simmons<\/a> (who popped the question to his girlfriend on the streets of Paris after this year\u2019s Tour de France<\/a>) wasted no time officially tying the knot this fall.<\/p>\n

In typical off-season fashion, many escaped to various beaches around the world while others rode on the back of camels, indulged in cheese tastings or even stamped their passports on US soil for some pretty iconic events.<\/p>\n

Social feeds were buzzing recently from Rouleur Live, the cycling exhibition and festival combining cycling culture, tech, gear brands, pro cyclists, and fans.<\/p>\n

This year, Pauline Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot attended and tested her knowledge on more than just cycling.<\/p>\n

Euro stars in the USA<\/p>\n

In case you missed it, some of the biggest names in cycling headed to the US for some off-season fun. Wout van Aert traded some time on the bike<\/a> for some time in gym to shoot hoops with cycling ambassador and NBA Hall of Famer Reggie Miller<\/a> at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Center.<\/p>\n

Van Aert and Visma women\u2019s rider Margaux Vigi\u00e9 hit the track at The Thermal Club, racing Porsches alongside MTB downhill world champion, Jackson Goldstone. To top off the trip, the group also attended a Lakers game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

MVDP\u2019s LA tour and comeback to running<\/p>\n

Mathieu van der Poel got his USA fix on the streets of LA in October. While he led a group ride in Southern California, back in Europe, he\u2019s been honing his running skills<\/a> and it\u2019s getting the triathlete field worried. His swimming skills remain a big unknown.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

PFP in NYC<\/p>\n

Besides getting engaged, Pauline Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot and Dylan van Baarle spent Halloween in the Big Apple. The couple stayed in Brooklyn and they too indulged in some NBA fun at a Brooklyn Nets game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Tadej and Urs\u030cka on the move<\/p>\n

This may be to only time we see Tadej Poga\u010dar in his European champion jersey.<\/p>\n

So don\u2019t blink.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Lorena Wiebes\u2019 less than ideal November ride<\/p>\n

Lorena Wiebes came to Instagram stories to share an image that is seen far too often in the cycling world.<\/p>\n

Wiebes showed her damaged bike after being a hit by car on a ride. Luckily, she said she was \u201cquite ok\u201d despite being hit from behind.<\/p>\n

Despite all the \u2018I Do\u2019s\u2019 in this article, we\u2019re highlighting the biggest DON\u2019T.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t be that guy. Keep the roads safe for cyclists, in the off-season and always.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
