Dillian Whyte<\/a> has offered his views on a potential fight between Oleksandr Usyk<\/a> and Moses Itauma<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The majority of boxing fans, it seems, would be intrigued to see how the sheer talent and athletic prowess of Itauma measures up against the awe-inspiring skill set of Usyk.<\/p>\n

For Itauma, it represents an opportunity to prove himself against a bona fide generational great, yet their matchup does not seem to carry the same appeal for his heavyweight counterpart.<\/p>\n

Usyk, instead, has almost completely ruled out a contest with the 20-year-old, having confirmed last month that he simply has no desire to face him<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In terms of the three-time undisputed champion\u2019s immediate future, however, it remains unclear as to which alternative options he intends to explore.<\/p>\n

He has, after all, eliminated much of the competition at heavyweight, with two wins over Tyson Fury<\/a>, Anthony Joshua<\/a> and Daniel Dubois<\/a>, respectively, cementing his supremacy in the land of the giants.<\/p>\n

At the same time, though, the 38-year-old, who relinquished his WBO world title earlier this month<\/a>, has insisted that his illustrious career has not yet reached its conclusion.<\/p>\n

For Whyte, who suffered a blistering first-round stoppage defeat to Itauma in August<\/a>, the most fan-friendly heavyweight showdown that can be made is between Usyk and Fabio Wardley.<\/p>\n

As the newly-crowned WBO champion, Wardley, who is managed by Whyte, has expressed his interest in claiming the other three major belts held by Usyk.<\/p>\n

And so, while speaking with Clubhouse Boxing<\/a>, Whyte claimed an Itauma-Usyk fight wouldn\u2019t appeal to the casual fan as much as a Wardley-Usyk showdown.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one wants to see Moses Itauma fight Oleksandr Usyk.<\/p>\n

The boxing purists might, but what casual fans would want to see that? We would like to see it to see what he does as the boxing purists.<\/p>\n

The casuals would like to see Usyk fight Fabio, because they know [who] Fabio is. You see him on the internet getting a bloodied face, and getting splattered, and coming back \u2013 he\u2019s got that Rocky story. Only boxing purists want to see [Usyk-Itauma] that fight.<\/p>\n

Usyk\u2019s funny; he\u2019s got charisma.
