Robert Plant might be one of the greatest musicians of all time, but that doesn\u2019t mean he had any patience for diva behavior. In a resurfaced interview, Lenny Kravitz revealed that the Led Zeppelin<\/a> star once called him out for acting out of line with his bandmates.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess I was in a bit of a mood and Robert ripped into me and tore me apart, basically saying: \u2018[What] the f–k is wrong with you? You\u2019re in the middle of this great success, you have this music, you\u2019re having a great run, and you should be enjoying every moment. Let go, relax!\u2019\u201d Kravitz said during an interview with Loudersound<\/a> in May 2024. \u201cHe was yelling at me like he was my older brother or my dad or something! It freaked me out, and I was a little embarrassed. Here was one of my heroes telling me what a b–ch I\u2019m being.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the dressing down he received from the rock god, Kravitz admitted that it was still some of the best advice he had ever received.<\/p>\n

The “American Woman” singer added, \u201cIt was the most beautiful thing, because he\u2019s a real guy and he saw me in this wonderful place that he\u2019s been, and he said: \u2018You better f–king wake up and enjoy this and have fun.\u2019 And that turned me around. We\u2019ve been great friends ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kravitz had previously spoken about how Plant and his fellow Led Zeppelin member Jimmy Page had been such a huge influence<\/a> on his music.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was cutting class with my friend, another Black Jewish kid, and she rolled this really nice joint, and I had never been high before. This guy had a boom box playing Zeppelin IV, and I was reborn,\u201d Kravitz told People<\/a> in an interview published in February 2024.<\/p>\n

They may not have ever teamed up in the studio, but Plant\u2019s impact on Kravitz clearly stuck. He was both a musical hero and someone who wasn\u2019t afraid to call out Kravitz when he needed it.<\/p>\n
