Lautaro Martinez insists he will \u2018let others talk\u2019 after replying to critics with a brace to beat Pisa<\/a>, while Francesco Pio Esposito notes \u2018Inter always comes first.\u2019<\/p>\n

The pressure was on the Nerazzurri after back-to-back defeats against AC Milan in Serie A and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.<\/p>\n

This was also no easy task, as Pisa were unbeaten in six and had kept four consecutive clean sheets on home turf.<\/p>\n

It took until the 69th minute to finally break the deadlock with Lautaro Martinez on a Pio Esposito assist, then he added a second by redirecting the Nicol\u00f2 Barella strike at the back post.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team comes first, so whether I provide a goal or assist, the important thing is that Inter get the three points,\u201d Esposito told DAZN Italia.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cA goal means joy for a striker, but I am convinced the team comes first, as Lauti always says.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Lautaro Martinez had scored a brace in the Champions League this season, it was his first in Serie A.<\/p>\n

There had been some controversy over his recent form and early substitutions, which Cristian Chivu explained today<\/a> was because the Argentine had been struggling with flu symptoms since before the derby.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am used to criticism,\u201d Lautaro Martinez told DAZN Italia.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI work for myself, for Inter, and for my family, so I let those outside that group talk all they want. I am happy for the team, for my family, and for myself. I work for Inter and that\u2019s all.\u201d<\/p>\n

He is the captain and the club symbol, so how does he see his future at Inter?<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope for a long time, I have many years on my contract and people love me here. The team comes first of all, Inter must win, we\u2019ve been challenging for every trophy for many years now. People outside can talk, but we must focus on lifting Inter as high as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Will he reward Esposito with a dinner for that assist?<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course. My teammates joke around and say I don\u2019t offer dinner, but we\u2019ve got such packed schedules, as soon as there\u2019s time, I will organise one of my barbecues, as always.\u201d<\/p>\n
