SAN FRANCISCO \u2014 Seth Curry is set to sign with the Golden State Warriors on Monday, according to a league source.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a deal that has been in the works for months, with the Warriors waiting on the cap space to make it happen, as The Athletic\u2019s Danny Leroux explained recently<\/a>. It\u2019s also a deal that finally puts Curry on the same team as his older brother, Stephen, a pairing that both men have been excited about since the preseason. ESPN first reported that Curry would officially sign on Monday.<\/p>\n Seth Curry admitted during training camp<\/a> that he actively tried not to team up with his brother in the early stages of his NBA career because he wanted to create his own path.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t really want to be on the same team as Steph, for whatever reason,\u201d Seth said in October.<\/p>\n Seth, 35, spent training camp with the Warriors but was waived before the season because of the cap restrictions. He shot 45.6 percent from the 3-point line last season as a member of the Charlotte Hornets, and he has carved out a long NBA career centered around his ability to knock down shots and fit into any locker room he\u2019s placed in.<\/p>\n Seth should be able to find a quick niche with this Warriors group, given that they have struggled with consistency from the outside, especially as Stephen, 37, recovers from a quad injury<\/a> suffered during last Wednesday\u2019s loss to the Houston Rockets that is expected to keep him out for at least a week.<\/p>\n
