Prelim Pick of the Week: UFC 323
\nUFC Lightweight Fight: Fares Ziam vs Nazim Sadykov<\/a><\/p>\n

Start Time: Saturday (12\/6) 6:00pm EST (ESPN+)<\/p>\n

I\u2019m actually a bit surprised at how tight this line is coming in. After opening at just -150, Ziam has been bet down to -130, and I really think the public is on the wrong side of that early money.<\/p>\n

Ziam has proven himself time and time again over the last half decade. His only slip up in that time was a quick mistake in a fight with Terrance McKinney. Outside of that fight, he has been a perfect 7-0 in the last five years. What is more impressive is that he seems to have turned his biggest weakness into a strength. After stuggling with his wrestling in the early part of his UFC career, he has picked up eight takedowns in his last two fights \u2013 to just two for his opponents. That\u2019s all to go with his rangy striking, which is holding up nicely.<\/p>\n

Sadykov, on the other hand, is definitely dangerous with his hands, but doesn\u2019t exactly win rounds. He was losing that fight to Evan Elder before a cut stopped the action and you could see him slipping up in the Viacheslav Borshchev fight as well. Ziam is hard to hit with the big shot, and if Sadykov can\u2019t get that, I have trouble seeing how he will win the fight.<\/p>\n
