Each year, 20 young women under 21 are chosen to don haute couture and appear in the exclusive Le Bal des D\u00e9butantes<\/a> in Paris. On Saturday night, Bronwyn Vance, the 19-year-old daughter of actors Angela Bassett<\/a> and Courtney B. Vance, became one of the few Hollywood elites and princesses to debut at the invitation-only ball held at the Shangri-La Paris hotel.<\/p>\n Vance, a current student at Harvard studying film and sociology, wore an ivory tulle gown with gold detailing made by French designer St\u00e9phane Rolland and was escorted by her twin brother, Slater. Her parents were also in attendance, and Vance and her father kicked off the party with a father-daughter dance, according to Vogue<\/a>.<\/p>\n The debs all wore jewelry by V Muse except for Gabrielle Janssens de Balkany, who was allowed to wear family heirlooms including a tiara and necklace once worn by her grandmother, Maria Gabriella of Savoy, the daughter of Italy\u2019s last king. Other notable debutantes included Carolina Lansing, granddaughter of Carolina Herrera; Jillian Chan, daughter of director Peter Chan and actress Sandra Ng; Ella Wadia, great-great-granddaughter of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan; Sarah Bae, daughter of author Janice Lee and billionaire private-equity executive Joseph Bae; Princess Eulalia Orl\u00e9ans Bourbon; and Princess Isabelle d\u2019Orl\u00e9ans, all dressed in the likes of Schiaparelli, Elie Saab, and Oscar de la Renta.<\/p>\n Vance is now among a growing list of Hollywood nepo babies<\/a> to have appeared in the ball, including Apple Martin<\/a>, Lily Collins, Margaret Qualley, Ava Philippe, Lori Harvey, and Scout Willis.
