I can still remember\u00a0seeing the Adidas\u00a0Tour360\u00a0shoes\u00a0for the first time.\u00a0I\u2019d\u00a0grown up in a world of rubber\u00a0disasters\u00a0that turned\u00a0your feet into miniature swimming pools in the\u00a0heat\u00a0and crumbled at the first sign of a shower.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then these arrived looking like\u00a0they\u2019d\u00a0been fashioned from bits of the ship that\u00a0\u2018allegedly\u2019\u00a0crashed at Roswell. They were extra-terrestrial. They were \u2013 shock, horror\u00a0\u2013 fashionable. Naturally, they were soon everywhere.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

These were golf\u2019s\u00a0Predators\u00a0and\u00a0they\u00a0cleared the\u00a0way\u00a0for everything\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0followed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s\u00a0hard to believe\u00a0this\u00a0was 20 years ago, but the\u00a0Tour360\u00a0are back in a limited-edition release\u00a0as Adidas\u00a0open\u00a0the vault.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Are they still a tour de force or is this nothing more than a sentimental nostalgia-ridden cash-grab?\u00a0<\/p>\n

First Impressions<\/p>\n

This is a merry jaunt down memory lane, isn\u2019t it?\u00a0Adidas have unashamedly gone retro\u00a0here\u00a0and, if you\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0know better,\u00a0you\u2019d\u00a0think these had been hidden in someone\u2019s attic since 2005.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The black,\u00a0red\u00a0and white colours\u00a0are certainly inspired by the originals and\u00a0the\u00a0distinctive three-stripes, that look like separate straps\u00a0forming\u00a0around the laces, are almost lit up in neon rouge.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Adidas<\/p>\n

The\u00a0overall shape is\u00a0very\u00a0familiar\u00a0and that will be comforting to fans of the original.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yes,\u00a0there are heavy nods and winks to the past\u00a0but lift the bonnet and there are plenty of modern features at which to marvel\u00a0with LIGHTSTRIKE and BOOST just two of the additions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Slipping them on, the\u00a0Tour360s\u00a0weren\u2019t\u00a0uncomfortable\u00a0but they were\u00a0on the tight side.\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0an 8.5 \u2013\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0been\u00a0measured \u2013 and\u00a0so\u00a0opted for these in a 9\u00a0but there\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0a lot of room for manoeuvre. That has its benefits, as\u00a0I\u2019ll\u00a0describe, and\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0definitely got\u00a0wider feet than many of you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once\u00a0I\u2019d\u00a0popped on a pair of\u00a0athletic\u00a0golf\u00a0socks\u00a0I was certain\u00a0I\u2019d\u00a0need to go up a full size.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

My approach\u00a0will be to consider these\u00a0like I do\u00a0a new pair of\u00a0football boots:\u00a0Go up a size and do the prep work before putting them into competitive action.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Course Testing<\/p>\n

That\u00a0narrower fit\u00a0means, at least in my case, that\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0had the Tour360s on in regular but limited spells.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The premium leather upper is\u00a0fairly rigid\u00a0for me right now, and\u00a0not quite as\u00a0flexible as\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0seen\u00a0previous\u00a0models described.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Adidas<\/p>\n

It might\u00a0just\u00a0be after years of wearing Adidas\u2019s more casual golf shoes that I need to get used to the\u00a0more\u00a0compact fit this provides for me.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yet there\u00a0remain\u00a0loads of plusses in the\u00a0Tour360 shoe. Stability is incredibly impressive. Your feet stay still. There is not the shifting and moving about you may\u00a0experience\u00a0in others.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The upper wraps round the top of the foot and the heel cushions into the back of this shoe like a memory foam. The whole thing just screams premium.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Adidas<\/p>\n

Grip is\u00a0very\u00a0impressive\u00a0and this is the most\u00a0important\u00a0feature for me by far in a golf shoe.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

You\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0want to be slipping about as\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0shifting into the backswing and accelerating through the downswing. There is absolutely nothing moving here as you push back and through.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I tested the\u00a0Tour360\u00a0just as the first winter weather of 2025\u00a0was really\u00a0beginning\u00a0to bite in the North of England.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was slushy, greasy, and\u00a0soaked\u00a0but they were\u00a0exceptional\u00a0in these conditions. While you might\u00a0initially\u00a0be loath to subject them to the\u00a0season\u2019s\u00a0full\u00a0fury \u2013 they look that good \u2013\u00a0you\u2019ll\u00a0be glad you did.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019m\u00a0not sure any other shoes in my wardrobe\u00a0can compete with\u00a0these from a traction perspective.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Adidas<\/p>\n

I often judge shoes on whether\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0likely to get a full season out of them. I will be surprised if \u2013 with a little care and attention \u2013\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0not\u00a0able to\u00a0wear these over multiple years.\u00a0Considering what we put our golf shoes through, in terms of mileage and conditions, that will be another big plus.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yes, as\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0already described, their fit\u00a0is\u00a0snugger\u00a0than\u00a0I\u2019d\u00a0prefer\u00a0right now\u00a0\u2013 particularly around the little toe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But they did spring\u00a0noticeably\u00a0on\u00a0walking and they are\u00a0very comfortable\u00a0in the arch.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0the Boost midsole and heel cushioning doing much of the heavy lifting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019m\u00a0very confident\u00a0that\u00a0as I wear them more, and start to ease out that\u00a0synthetic upper,\u00a0they\u2019ll\u00a0shape around the contours of my feet and become easier to wear.\u00a0<\/p>\n

NCG Verdict<\/p>\n

You need to understand what you are paying\u00a0here\u00a0for and that is a\u00a0limited run.\u00a0The\u00a0current Tour360 25\u00a0spikeless<\/a>\u00a0are \u00a330\u00a0less\u00a0on Adidas\u2019s website, while\u00a0there are deals about for the 24\u00a0model.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0more into the casual sneaker-style,\u00a0the Retrocross<\/a> and S2G Spikeless<\/a> are under \u00a3100.\u00a0There are some lovely bells and whistles\u00a0here but\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0paying a bit more for relative exclusivity.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0happy with that, the Tour 360 20th\u00a0anniversary shoes are no\u00a0mere\u00a0homage to the golden days,\u00a0they are a definite improvement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And if\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0not got duck feet\u00a0like me,\u00a0you\u2019ll\u00a0be wowed by their comfort, stability, and probable durability.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
