\u201cI was alone, I\u2019m not going to try and take [the] \u2018D\u2019 1-on-1,\u201d Mintyukov said. \u201cSo, I just tried to shoot it and scored.\u201d<\/p>\n

Binnington was upset with being pulled from the game, but St. Louis coach Jim Montgomery said it\u2019s just the competitiveness of his goalie and he\u2019s fine with it.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know I love Jordan Binnington,\u201d Montgomery said. \u201cHe’s a competitor, he raises his games in the big moments all the time. I love him. He walked off the ice, he said, ‘I love you.’ I said, ‘I love you, too.’ We’re both competitors by nature, and at the end of the period, he waited for me, we apologized, we moved on. It’s over and done with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carlsson made it 3-1 at 5:58 of the third period when he redirected Radko Gudas<\/a>‘ shot from the blue line past Hofer. He has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) during his point streak.<\/p>\n

Kreider scored an empty-net goal at 17:23 for the 4-1 final.<\/p>\n
