{"id":32161,"date":"2025-07-29T16:02:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T16:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/32161\/"},"modified":"2025-07-29T16:02:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T16:02:07","slug":"manny-pacquiao-wants-gervonta-davis-fight-under-one-condition-hes-no-problem-for-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/32161\/","title":{"rendered":"Manny Pacquiao Wants Gervonta Davis Fight Under One Condition: &#8220;He&#8217;s No Problem For Me&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/manny-pacquiao\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Manny Pacquiao<\/a> has revealed his one condition for a showdown with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/gervonta-davis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gervonta Davis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 46-year-old from the Philippines made a shock return to the sport on July 19, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/boxing\/story\/_\/id\/45780217\/manny-pacquiao-46-battles-mario-barrios-majority-draw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">fighting to a majority decision draw against reigning WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios<\/a> at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>Pacquiao hadn\u2019t fought prior to this since June of 2021 when he was outpointed by former WBA world welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas before going on to announce his retirement from the sport shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>As for Davis, the 30-year-old from Baltimore currently holds the WBA world lightweight title, with his most recent defence against Lamont Roach Jr ending in a split decision draw after a competitive 12-round battle back in March.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/shorts\/5UnWksbmiNA\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Speaking in an interview<\/a> before the Barrios fight, Pacquiao admitted that he would like to face \u2018Tank\u2019, but says the 30-year-old must make the move up to face him at either 145 or 147lbs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he want, then if he come up to 147 then we can fight \u2026 145 maybe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018PacMan\u2019 was then asked to reveal what he believes would happen should he go on to face the \u2018explosive\u2019 Davis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh that\u2019s not a problem for me because I\u2019m experienced fighter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It has already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/news\/pacquiao-decision-on-future-after-barrios\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">been confirmed that Pacquiao will be continuing with his boxing career after drawing with Barrios<\/a>, but a rematch between the pair is unlikely to happen next, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/news\/pacquiao-vs-barrios-rematch-ruled-out\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pacquiao\u2019s manager Sean Gibbons confirming that Davis is a target along with current 147lb WBA champion Rolly Romero<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cF\u2013k Mario Barrios.
