People will be able to get expert advice about making healthier choices at a free event in East Yorkshire.<\/p>\n
Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham is hosting the latest in a series of Fit4Life events on 11 December, which includes “on the spot” mammograms and health advice. A further event will follow in Grimsby.<\/p>\n
Visitors will be able to talk to hospital staff about smoking cessation, lifestyle choices, alcohol moderation, cancer screening and vaccination.<\/p>\n
Lyn Simpson, interim group chief executive of NHS Humber Health Partnership, said the event was about helping people to take practical steps to improve their wellbeing.<\/p>\n
Ms Simpson said the event, which is taking place between 11:00 and 14:00 GMT in the hospital’s wellbeing suite, was tailored to address common health problems experienced by residents in East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.<\/p>\n
“Our hospitals are always here when you need us, but Fit4Life offers a fun and interactive way to help you make healthier choices that could reduce the need for medical care in the future,” she added.<\/p>\n
