Prince Harry roasted Meghan Markle\u2019s cooking during the Netflix special \u201cWith Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the episode, which premiered on Wednesday, the Duchess of Sussex cooked up a Christmas feast with celebrity chef\u00a0Tom Colicchio, making sure to feature one of her family\u2019s favorites: gumbo.<\/p>\n
\u201cHi, guys, I smelled gumbo,\u201d the Duke of Duchess said as he shyly walked in, hands in his pockets, and kissed his wife on the lips<\/a>.<\/p>\n Prince Harry teased Meghan Markle\u2019s cooking during \u201cWith Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration.\u201d Netflix<\/p>\n She had cooked gumbo for him, which he dubbed \u201cone of [his] favorite\u201d meals. Netflix<\/p>\n However, when he ate it, he said he preferred her mom\u2019s. Netflix<\/p>\n \u201cGumbo, for me, is one of my favorites. Especially her mom\u2019s, but before the fish goes in,\u201d Harry, 41, told Colicchio. <\/p>\n Markle, 44, went on to note that her mom, Doria Ragland\u2013 who makes gumbo as their Christmas Eve meal \u2014 \u201csaves a portion on the side\u201d for Harry because of his food preferences.<\/p>\n \u201cMy mom does the turkey sausage for you, so this one has more kick to it,\u201d she warned of the andouille sausage she had added to the dish. <\/p>\n \u201cIt is delicious. I\u2019m not so sure it\u2019s as good as your mom\u2019s, but it\u2019s certainly close,\u201d he told her. Netflix<\/p>\n Markle was shocked by the confession. Netflix<\/p>\n Harry laughed at his joke. Netflix<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll give you a little towel,\u201d she told her husband before announcing that the heat would make him \u201csweat.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWonderful,\u201d Harry simply responded.<\/p>\n After taking a bite, Harry cleared his throat and sniffled, saying, \u201cI can feel it puncturing through the top of my head right now.<\/p>\n Meghan simply responded with \u201cWhat?! Oh my God!\u201d Netflix<\/p>\n She made the meal with celebrity chef\u00a0Tom Colicchio. Oh my God!<\/p>\n \u201cMy mom will love you for that. What a good thing to say for your mother-in-law.\u201d<\/p>\n She then closed the segment by thanking the chef for joining her in the kitchen before turning to kiss Harry.<\/p>\n Markle also honored Harry\u2019s traditions of popping Christmas crackers. Netflix<\/p>\n She prepared an Advent calendar for their kids on the show. Netflix<\/p>\n Markle also paid tribute to her husband\u2019s Christmas traditions during the show when she and restaurateur\u00a0Will Guidara\u00a0made Christmas crackers \u2014 the toy, not the food \u2014 together.<\/p>\n \u201cLiving in the UK, it\u2019s such a part of [the culture] for Christmas holidays, for sure,\u201d she explained. <\/p>\n \u201cTypically people cross arms and do it. So they sit around a table and they all pull at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n Markle added, \u201cIt actually does feel really connected and sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n Markle released \u201cWith Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration\u201d on Wednesday. Netflix<\/p>\n It\u2019s a spin-off special from her show, \u201cWith Love, Meghan.\u201d Netflix<\/p>\n This is not the first time Harry has made a brief cameo in Markle\u2019s Netflix show.
