Weezer bassist Scott Shriner\u2019s wife has filed for divorce<\/a> just months after she was shot at by cops <\/a>and booked for attempted murder.<\/p>\n

Jillian Shriner cited \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d\u00a0as the reason for their divorce in documents filed in court Tuesday, TMZ reported. <\/p>\n

The author also requested joint legal and physical custody of their two adopted children, who are 17 and 13 years old. <\/p>\n

Jillian, 52, is seeking spousal support and reportedly blocked the musician, 60, from receiving it.<\/p>\n

It is unclear if there was a date of separation listed or if there is a prenuptial agreement in place.<\/p>\n

In April, Jillian was shot by cops after interfering with a wild police chase in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

The LAPD was responding to a hit-and-run on the freeway near Eagle Rock neighborhood after three suspects fled the scene and headed toward a residential neighborhood. <\/p>\n

The police quickly barricaded off the area, however, a woman, later identified as Jillian, exited her home with a handgun. <\/p>\n

She was told several times by law enforcement to drop her weapon but refused, pointing her gun toward police. Cops subsequently shot her and she ran into her home. <\/p>\n

Jillian was taken into custody and booked for attempted murder, then taken to a nearby hospital where she was treated for her non-life-threating wounds. <\/p>\n

A month prior, Jillian revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.<\/a><\/p>\n
