Latest on fed &amp; feeder cattle prices, butcher cow trends, and cutout market insights in Western Canada. <\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The U.S. pork cutout was $118.86 per hundredweight July 25, up from $117.79 July 18.<\/p>\n<p>The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to July 25 was 2.308 million. It was 2.333 million the previous week.<\/p>\n<p>Slaughter was 2.330 million last year at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>In Canada, the July 26 Signature Four price was $258.17 per 100 kilograms, up from $254.43.<\/p>\n<p>The July 26 Hams Marketing cash price was $256.17, while on July 19 it was $252.43. HyLife was $275.26 this week and $270.79 July 19. OlyWest was $266.40, up from $263.80 last week.<\/p>\n<p>OlyWest 2021 was up, at $271.80, from $267.20, and HyLife\u2019s adjusted price was $276.19 this week. On July 19 it was $271.13.<\/p>\n<p>Bison<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices of $635-$690 per cwt., hot hanging weight, for finished bulls and $610-$650 per cwt. for finished heifers. Mature bulls were $500-$550 per cwt., while mature cows were $500-$550 per cwt.<\/p>\n<p>Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$485-$500 per cwt. for bulls and $450-$475 per cwt. for heifers. Prices for mature bulls and cows were not available.<\/p>\n<p>All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.<\/p>\n<p>Prices for live bulls and cows bison in Canada were not available. The mixed live animal price was $5.25 per lb.<\/p>\n<p>Lambs<\/p>\n<p>Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 256 sheep and 657 lambs sold July 21 .<\/p>\n<p>Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,086 sheep and 414 goats sold July 21.<\/p>\n<p>Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $300-$370 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $280-$330, 70-85 lb. were $280-$320, 86-105 lb. were $270-$330, and 106 lb. and heavier were $270-$335. Wool rams were $175-$275 per cwt. Cull ewes were $190-$305.<\/p>\n<p>Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $270-$355, 55-69 lb. were $270-$315, 70-85 lb. were $280-$320, 86-105 lb. were $270-$315 and 106 lb. and heavier were $250-$300. Hair rams were $170-$265 per cwt.
