The team already runs the No. 99, recently announcing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/driver\/parker-retzlaff\/953405\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Parker Retzlaff<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/nascar-xs\/news\/parker-retzlaff-to-join-viking-motorsports-in-2026\/10774537\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">as that car&#8217;s new driver.<\/a> But on Thursday, they revealed that they will now enter the No. 96 as well, driven by Anthony Alfredo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExpanding to a second full-time car is a major moment for our organization,&#8221; said team owner Don Sackett. &#8220;Anthony brings experience, professionalism, and a tremendous work ethic that aligns perfectly with where Viking Motorsports is heading. Reuniting him with Josh gives us a strong foundation for this new team. Their chemistry, trust, and history together will help accelerate our growth and elevate our entire program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The team is preparing for its third season in NOAPS. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/driver\/matt-dibenedetto\/14712\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Matt DiBenedetto<\/a> was their first driver, and scored the team&#8217;s best finish yet when he placed fifth at Talladega, but the two parted ways in the middle of the 2025 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Alfredo is an experienced driver with 151 starts in the secondary level of NASCAR, and even a full season in the Cup Series. He has never won a NOAPS race, but he has one pole, five top fives, and 23 top tens. This past year, he was driving for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/team\/youngs-motorsport\/8203\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Young&#8217;s Motorsports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m fired up to join Viking Motorsports and drive the No. 96 Chevrolet in 2026,&#8221; said Alfredo. &#8220;Having the chance to work with Josh again is something I\u2019m really excited about \u2014 we\u2019ve had success together, and I know what we can accomplish as a team. You can see how much Viking is building and investing in its future.
