{"id":325586,"date":"2025-12-04T20:56:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T20:56:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/325586\/"},"modified":"2025-12-04T20:56:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T20:56:11","slug":"gennadiy-golovkin-nigel-benn-and-antonio-tarver-named-to-the-boxing-hall-of-fame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/325586\/","title":{"rendered":"Gennadiy Golovkin, Nigel Benn, and Antonio Tarver named to the Boxing Hall of Fame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Press Release (Canastota, NY \u2013 December 4, 2025) \u2014 \u00a0The International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum is thrilled to announce the newest class of inductees to be honored during the Hall of Fame Induction Weekend June 11-14, 2026 in \u201cBoxing\u2019s Hometown\u201d Canastota, NY.<\/p>\n<p>The International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum is thrilled to announce the newest class of inductees to be honored during the Hall of Fame Induction Weekend June 11-14, 2026 in \u201cBoxing\u2019s Hometown\u201d Canastota, NY.<\/p>\n<p>The Class of 2026 includes Gennadiy \u201cGGG\u201d Golovkin, Antonio Tarver, and Nigel Benn in the Men\u2019s Modern Category, Naoko Fujioka and Jackie Nava in the Women\u2019s Modern category; trainer \/ cut man Russ Amber, referee Frank Cappuccino (posthumous), trainer \/ cut man Jimmy Glenn (posthumous) and physician Edwin \u201cFlip\u201d Homansky in the Non-Participant category, journalist Kevin Iole and <a href=\"https:\/\/tss.ib.tv\/boxing\/alex-wallau-a-personal-remembrance\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">broadcaster Alex Wallau<\/a> (posthumous) in the Observer category; and Jimmy Clabby (posthumous) in the Old Timer category.<\/p>\n<p>Inductees were voted in by members of the Boxing Writers Association of America and a panel of international boxing historians.
