NASCAR President Steve O\u2019Donnell testified today in the antitrust trial with 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports<\/a>, saying that teams went to NASCAR \u201cin early 2022 asking for an improved revenue model.\u201d However, when Hendrick Motorsports Vice Chair Jeff Gordon asked if NASCAR was willing to do that, EVP and Chief Venue & Racing Innovations Officer Ben Kennedy said yes but NASCAR Chair Jim France \u201cwas opposed.\u201d O\u2019Donnell testified that the team representatives \u201chad very specific requests: maximized television revenue, the creation of a more competitive landscape, a new cost model and a potential cost cap\u201d (AP, 12\/4<\/a>).<\/p>\n
