Carter Verhaeghe<\/a> scored for the Panthers (12-12-2), who have lost four straight overall and five in a row at home. Bobrovsky made 27 saves.<\/p>\n

Florida\u2019s home losing streak is its longest since it lost eight straight here from Feb. 6-March 5, 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was offense to be had for both teams, and the penalty kill was really good for both teams,\u201d said Panthers coach Paul Maurice, whose team killed off all five Predators power plays. \u201cIt\u2019s a 1-1 game at the end because the goalies were good. \u2026 They got a little quicker than we did. Most of their action came in a barrage of shots. It wasn\u2019t sustained. It was a shift after a penalty kill that got us. That\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Reilly tied it 1-1 at 13:41 of the third period, scoring at the left post on the rebound of a sharp-angled shot from Michael Bunting<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Verhaeghe gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead at 16:26 of the first period by finishing a 2-on-1 with Sam Bennett<\/a>. Verhaeghe drove to the net, settled a lead pass from Bennett and sent the puck into an open left side.<\/p>\n

The goal came 13 seconds after Bobrovsky stopped Matthew Wood<\/a> from the slot on a breakaway.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s tough we couldn\u2019t get the win,\u201d Verhaeghe said. \u201cIt was a tight game, we had chances on the power play and they were sharp on the PK. We couldn\u2019t get our luck. We got a point, but it\u2019s not exactly what we wanted. But we\u2019ll take it and hope it leads to something a little better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saros made 16 saves in the second period with the Panthers going 0-for-4 on the power play.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought [Bobrovsky] was really good, and obviously Saros was the star here tonight,\u201d Brunette said. \u201cIt was definitely an entertaining game with a lot of great saves. It was back and forth between two committed teams. We are very happy to get the win.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nashville thought it had tied the score at 1:49 of the third when Erik Haula<\/a> jammed at a rebound in front, but a video review initiated by the NHL Situation Room determined that the puck did not cross the goal line.<\/p>\n

The Predators outshot the Panthers 12-3 in the third.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously a huge win for us,\u201d Stamkos said. \u201cSaros was just amazing. \u2026 This was a game that can get away if you let it. There was not a lot of flow. We need to do a better job, myself included, on the stick penalties. But [Saros] was incredible.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are the games that can hopefully kick-start something. Grind one out on the road. I thought for the majority of the third and in overtime that we got a majority of the looks. We stayed with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

NOTES: Nashville forward Ozzy Wiesblatt<\/a> left the game early in the first period with an upper-body injury after colliding with Verhaeghe and then Predators forward Michael McCarron<\/a>. There was no update on his status. \u2026 Stamkos has 83 points (43 goals, 40 assists) against the Panthers in 71 games. Those are his most points and goals against any team.
