Discovery Inc.<\/a> has entered exclusive negotiations to sell its film and TV studios and HBO Max streaming service to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/quote\/NFLX:US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"media-ui-Link_link-tVkXhPLPofs-\" data-component=\"link\">Netflix Inc.<\/a>, according to people familiar with the discussions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ArticleBodyText_articleBodyContent__17wqE typography_articleBody___5jDr\" data-component=\"paragraph\">Netflix is offering a $5 billion breakup fee if regulators don\u2019t approve the deal, said the people, who asked to not be identified because the discussions are private. The two companies could announce a deal as soon as in the coming days, assuming talks don\u2019t fall apart, the people said. The move suggests Netflix has pulled ahead of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/quote\/PSKY:US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"media-ui-Link_link-tVkXhPLPofs-\" data-component=\"link\">Paramount Skydance Corp.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/quote\/CMCSA:US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"media-ui-Link_link-tVkXhPLPofs-\" data-component=\"link\">Comcast Corp.<\/a>, who were also competing for the asset. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Warner Bros.
