Image: VIP Boxing<\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            Two professional boxers from Morecambe earned eye-catching wins on a bill at Blackpool Winter Gardens.\n        <\/p>\n<p>Alex MacMillan scored a stoppage victory on his pro debut, while Troy Gallagher stopped Lukasz Kucharski to extend his unbeaten career on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>MacMillan, brother of former British title challenger Reece MacMillan, defeated Liverpool&#8217;s Connor Goulding and looked impressive in his first start at middleweight.<\/p>\n<p>The Preston-based amateur standout landed a flurry of hard shots leaving a dazed Goulding on the seat of his pants in the corner, and the referee waved the action off immediately.<\/p>\n<p>WATCH Alex MacMillan vs Connor Goulding from VIP Boxing<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Gallagher moved his pro record to five wins out of five with his first inside-the-distance win.<\/p>\n<p>Kucharski from Poland, with a record of 1-1 going into the fight, came out bobbing and weaving, aggressively throwing hooks in round 1.<\/p>\n<p>Troy boxed behind his jab, evaded most of his opponent&#8217;s attacks, and scored with a nice body shot and some right hands around the guard.<\/p>\n<p>Then shortly into Round 2, after Troy got through with a stiff left jab, he landed a perfect left hook to Kucharski&#8217;s jaw, wobbling him onto the ropes.<\/p>\n<p>After a follow up right dropped the badly hurt Pole to his knees, the referee was already waving it off with Kucharski in no fit state to continue.<\/p>\n<p>WATCH Troy Gallagher vs Lukasz Kucharski from VIP Boxing<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Read more:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyond.radio\/news\/local-sport\/morecambe-boxer-on-biggest-sacrifice-yet-as-he-turns-professional\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Morecambe boxer on \u201cbiggest sacrifice yet\u201d as he turns professional &#8211; Beyond Radio<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Alex MacMillan (right) defeated Connor Goulding in Round 1.
